About Me

Hi, I'm Nicola Butcher.

I'm a Senior Accredited Therapist who has been running Essex Autism Counselling for 15 years.  My aim is to help people move forward with their lives.  Whether to learn to understand their diagnosis, or learn to navigate the world and people around them to move forward with their lives.

I have a neurodiverse family of 5 and have had to navigate the system both in regard to EHCPs and diagnosis.  I am a patron of Send the Right Message (a local charity who support SEN families and children) and work with Kool Carer's, a local charity who support young carers and their families.  I am also a Senior Sessional Therapist at the Priory.

I have both personal and professional experience of fighting for diagnosis and assessment, EHCPs, coming to terms with diagnosis and understanding sensory overload.   It is because of my personal and professional experiences that I am extremely passionate about what I do and I will always give my utmost into helping you.
